Build a sashiko mending kit for your clothes
Build the kit around the garments you intend to repair. The patch cloth and access to the damaged area matter as much as the thread. Start with one repair you can inspect and reach from both sides.

Buy the missing item, not an assumed complete kit
The shop’s thread multipacks do not include patch fabric, needles and all repair tools. DARUMA long needles plus threader are one named accessory choice; verify the individual thread pairing. Reuse suitable tools you own before adding specialist accessories.
Put a repair record in the box
Record the garment, patch material, thread, needle and care method. Photograph the first result and review it after normal wear and washing. A before-and-after image needs the actual garment and conditions; a drawing cannot establish durability.
