Choose transfer paper for sashiko
Choose transfer paper by the area you need to mark, its coated sides and a successful removal test on your fabric. Chacopaper and Clover Chacopy are different named products; their instructions are not interchangeable.

Avoid marks where you do not want them
Double-sided paper has a second transferring surface. Keep it away from an exposed face you want to leave unmarked. For a single sashiko panel, a single-sided sheet is the simpler layer arrangement.
A successful test includes removal
A mark that transfers clearly has passed only half the test. Follow the product’s removal method on the scrap, allow it to dry, and check for a remaining line, a tide mark or changed fabric colour. Do not assume a general-purpose pencil or office carbon paper will wash out like textile tracing paper.
Keep the instructions after cutting the sheet
Store the remaining paper with its original label. If you cut several formats into small pieces, mark their storage sleeves so a later project does not mix a water-removable sheet with a different formulation.
